- When there are 7 teams in a division, each team will receive one bye per draw and will be awarded points for that bye as if they achieved a tie.
- When there are 6 teams in a division, each team will play 2 teams twice and 3 teams once in the 7 game draw.
- The league president may assist in filling open positions where there are vacancies if there are individuals looking to join a team; however it is the responsibility
of the skip to ensure that they have a complete team of 4 paid members prior to the start of the season.
- Returning Skips are held a position in the league until Aug 25th. Remaining spots are opened to new skips after that time on first come first serve basis. New
teams will start off at the bottom of the league (F division), however the league executive may use its discretion in starting experienced teams in a higher division (max
of B division) to ensure competitive games.
- A team fee which includes prize money and fellowship will be collected from each skip at the start of the season.
League Play
- League play consists of 3 draws with 7 games in each draw governed by the OCA rules. All games will be 8 ends with ties allowed in the first 2 draws only. In
the 3rd draw, an extra end will be played to determine the game winner and if it is still tied, the game will be decided by a draw to the button by one
person from each team with sweeping by the throwing team only.
- Spare rule has been set by the executive for all leagues where spares can play in any position up to the vacant position, and two members of the original team
must be present. Annandale curling club members have unlimited spare privileges, while non members can spare a maximum of 3 times during the season. *Note:
When a team has only 3 paid members, the 4th spot cannot be filled by a spare and the team must play with 3 people.
- Divisions A-D play on Tuesday night rotating between 7pm & 9pm draws. Divisions E-F play on Wednesday night at 7pm
- Teams accumulate points for each game played based on their division and record as detailed below:

- Draw winners/standings will be determined by points obtained within the draw. In the case of a tie, the following rules will be used to break the tie:
- 1st Draw:
- Head to head result(s) of tied teams
- If still tied, total number of wins
- If still tied the prize money for 1st and 2nd will be split evenly among tied teams
- 2nd & 3rd Draws:
- Head to head result(s) of tied teams
- If still tied, total number of wins in this draw only
- If still tied, total points accumulated for the year will determine the winner
- If still tied, a skips draw to the button with sweeping will determine the winner
- After completion of each draw, prize money will be paid to the top 2 teams in each division, with the exact amounts predetermined by the men's league
president. Prize money will be equal in each division and must be equal to amount collected from teams.
- Teams will be reshuffled based on full year accumulated points after each draw with teams limited to moving up or down 1 division for each draw. Ties
in full year standings will be broken as follows:
- For teams in different divisions, the team in the higher division
- For teams in same division, the draw ranking from current draw
- Final full year accumulated points after the third draw will be used to determine division placement in the following year. Teams will be moved up to
fill vacancies as needed.
Club Championships
- At the conclusion of the 3rd draw there will be club playoff championships in all divisions involving all teams.
- Teamswill be sorted into 6 divisions (A-F) based on full year accumulated points with teams limited to moving up or down 1 division from
their division seeding for the 3rd draw.
- If time restrictions won't allow for teams to be informed of division placement in the playoffs in ample time, the
president may conduct the payoffs in 3 groupings, A-B; C-D; and E-F with movement within the 2 division grouping only to ensure ample notification of
all teams.
If there are extra nights in the curling calendar, the men's executive can use the nights as they see fit, examples may include a night for skins
competition during the regular curling season.
Any amendments to this charter can be proposed by the men's league president and requires approval from a majority of the ruling Annandale Curling
Executive.
