The Pickering High School Team (all comprised of Annandale Youth) won the schoolgirl zones this past weekend. They are pictured here with teacher Ms. Gorecki.
Congratulations to Nicole Gardener, Kaitlin Jewer, Vanessa Aune and Alison Gardener for winning the A side of the Gore Mutal School Girls zone competition!
They defeated teams from Markam and Oshawa. Well done girls - Good luck at the regionals on February 4th/5th!

The Annandale teams did very well in the 2011 Dominion TCA Championships. In the Junior Men's Division, the Bevan rink won the Main Event Final.
They had four wins in pool play to advance to the main event and then won their semi final and final. It was a 20 team event held at Tam Heather
and sponsored by the Dominion. Team members are Skip Ben Bevan, Vice Tyler Sagan, Second Carter Adair and Lead Derreck Veitch. They were presented
with the trophy and a cheque for $3,200 by Trevor Wall of The Dominion.
The Matthew Hall rink coached by Lesley Pyne won the second event in the Bantam Boys Division. They only lost one of their 6 games over the two days.
Team members are Vice Mitchell Vance, Second Charlie Sheehan and Lead Cody McGhee. Their event was 24 teams and was played at Leaside Curling Club.
The Kaitlin Jewer team played in the second event, but failed to advance.
Congratulations to Team Hall who won the Tam Heather Bonspiel on Saturday, December 10th - they were presented the trophy by Richard Hart - pictured, left to right
are Cody, Charlie, Mitchell, and Matthew. Well done!

Congratulations to the Bevan team (Ben, Tyler, Carter, and Derreck) for winning the A side of Region 2 for Junior Men's. They are off to the provincials in January 2012. Good Luck!!

Congratulations to Team Ontario for their Gold Medal performance in the Canadian Winter Games 2011! Team members are Skip - Ben Bevan, Vice - Carter Adair,
Second - Corey Gaudette and Lead - Jake McGhee.
Congratulations to Annandale Curling Club member, Leslie Bainard, who competed in the 'Million Dollar Draw to the Button' competition
at the BDO Canadian Open Championships in Oshawa over the past weekend. She made it right to the final round, and showed nerves of steel.
